This autumn we’re on a mission and we need YOUR help…

No one should have to rely on the services of a food bank, but in reality more and more people across Sussex are having to rely on food banks every day to feed themselves – and their families. Donations are needed more than ever before, and here at More Radio, we want to do something – but we can’t do it without your help.

According to the Trussell Trust, foodbank use in Sussex has increased by 40% over the last 5 years. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working with charities and food banks across the county, including the Trussell Trust, Fare Share, Doms Food Mission, Surviving the Streets, and Empty Plate Café to collect ten thousand tins of food – so we can help those in need.

To make it as easy as possible, our donation points are located in supermarkets across Sussex, so you can simply add an extra tin or two to your weekly shop, and pop them in our baskets when you’re done.

Our appeal ends on Sunday 29th September 2019

Or if you really want to make a big difference, why not get your workplace or school involved and set up your own donation point?

Perhaps your work colleagues, or school pupils could all bring a couple of tins into work, or school and donate towards our Ten Thousand Tins Appeal?

Register below to set up a collection; we will send you a poster.

Once you have collected please send us a picture and the total tins collected and we’ll give you a shout out on-air, online and through social media.
