E-fit released after £17,000 stolen from elderly Worthing woman

Police have released an e-fit image of a man suspected of stealing thousands of pounds from an elderly woman, after offering to undertake gardening work in Worthing.

Officers said the suspect approached the property, in Durrington, at around 11.30am on November 13.

The suspect offered to do some gardening work for the 88-year-old woman who lived there.

After entering the property, the suspect stole £17,000.

Officials said the suspect was described as being between 5’8 and 5’10 tall, speaking in a local accent, and possibly driving an ‘open backed lorry-type vehicle’.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting serial 259 of 15/11.
