Emergency services were called to deal with the fire in Grove Road shortly before 11.30pm last Wednesday (March, 26).

Officers said the fire is being treated as deliberate, and is being linked to another fire in Ivy Terrace on Monday (March, 23) in which a bin was set alight.

A 44-year-old man from the two was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

Police said he was released on conditional bail until April 23.
