Officers in Eastbourne have issued a dispersal order in the town centre following reports of ‘pockets of disorder’.

Police said they were in the town yesterday (Thursday, 2) encouraging the public to stay at home and follow government advice.

It follows another incident on Wednesday (April, 1), where officers said an occupant at an address in Eastbourne was attempting to hold an 18th birthday party in the back garden.

PC Rachel Bourne said they dispersed the young people and gave the homeowner ‘strong words of advice’.
