Two people have been arrested following a series of break-ins at an Eastbourne school site last week.

Police said Garages at the Causeway School, in Larkspur Drive, were broken into on March 27, March 31 and April 2.

Damage was caused to the premises but officers said nothing appeared to be stolen.

An off-duty police officer saw three people enter the site on the third occasion and rang 999.

Officers attended and arrested an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from Eastbourne.

The pair were detained on suspicion of attempted burglary.

The 18-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug, and the 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug.

They were both released on conditional bail.
