Suspected drug dealers arrested after cannabis and cash found in Bexhill

Police have arrested two suspected drug dealers in Bexhill after cannabis and cash was discovered during a vehicle search.

Officers said they stopped a car in Turkey Road last Friday afternoon (April, 3) and discovered 126 grams of the Class B substance, along with six mobile phones and £400 in cash.

Two men, aged 18 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply, while the 18-year-old was also detained on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs.

Both men have been released on bail until May 1 while enquiries continue.

Sergeant Brett White said:

“Despite our continued commitment to support communities with social distancing restrictions, we continue in our pursuit of those suspected of crime.

“This is another case in which we were able to act on the information provided by vigilant members of the public.”
