Police have arrested three young teenagers in connection with a ‘violent’ attack at a Worthing park, which left two men with concussion and broken ribs.
The two victims, aged 29 and 23, along with a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, were approached by several people while walking through Victoria Park around 10pm on Monday (May, 11).
Police said the younger of the two men had a cigarette snatched from him and all four were attacked.
Both men had to be taken to hospital to be treated for concussion and broken ribs.
DC Katie Clack said:
“We arrested two girls aged 15 and 14, and a boy aged 15, on suspicion of robbery and after being interviewed they have been released under investigation.
“This was an unpleasant and violent attack and our enquiries are continuing.”
