Man arrested in connection with attempted assault involving knife in Hastings

A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted attack involving a knife in Hastings.

Police said a man was approached by three men and one woman in Linley Drive at around 2.45pm on May 6.

According to officers, one of the men in the group brandished a knife at the victim and attempted to assault him.

The victim then ran away from the group unharmed.

A 22-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and was bailed until June 5.
