Police investigating Hastings burglary after man reportedly poses as council worker

Police have launched an investigation after a burglary in Hastings on Wednesday (May, 20).

Officers said that a man, posing as a council worker, stole cash from a victim in Bristol Road, at around 9.30am.

The man was described as white, mid-40s, 5ft 5, stocky build, brown hair and wore a white Adidas top and blue jeans.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

“We are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Bristol Road where a male posed as a council worker & stole cash from the victim.

“Report any info to us, quoting 360 of 20/05.”
