Image released after cash stolen from intensive care nurse in Chichester

An image has been released after cash was stolen from an intensive care nurse in Chichester last Saturday (May, 16).

Police would like to speak to the woman pictured in connection with the incident that occurred while the victim was shopping in Aldi, Barnfield Drive, at around 1.30pm.

The suspect is thought to have picked up £170 cash and concealed it in har bra, after it had fallen from the victim’s pocket.

Officers said it was only apparent that the money was missing when the victim reached the chickout to pay for her shopping.

The suspect paid for her shopping on card and left the store.

PC Russell Watson said:

“Losing money is awful in any circumstances but considering the victim is an intensive care nurse – one of those putting their very lives at risk at the moment to protect us – it is even worse.

“We are determined to find the person responsible and hold them to account.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting serial 735 of 16/05.
