February 18 marks National Drink Wine Day across the UK.
Although the true origins of the day are unknown, people around the country are welcoming the holiday with gusto.
The annual holiday is celebrated with the intention of “reflecting on the health benefits of wine.”
Moderate drinkers of wine are reported to have lower risks of liver disease, type II diabetes, certain cancers, heart attack and stroke.
In addition, the drink can also reduce the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase the good (HDL).
If that wasn't enough, Adele gave a breathtaking performance of 'I Drink Wine' at the recent BRIT Awards.
We hope you enjoy a glass (or two), while remaining responsible with the plonk, and not peaking too soon with the weekend on the horizon!
