Police have confirmed that a female pedestrian in her 70s has lost her life following a collision involving a goods vehicle today (July 29).
Emergency services were called to Avis Road just after mid-day, and later reported the woman died at the scene.
Officers said traffic nearby remained disrupted for much of the day.
No further information has been released.
