Weekend closures on the A27 eastbound between Lancing Manor Roundabout and the Adur junction (Shoreham) started on Friday night.
The carriageway is due to remain closed all Saturday (April 13) and Sunday, finally reopening at 6am on Monday (April 15).
National Highways said these closures are to allow the team working on the new roundabout at New Monks Farm to finish off drainage, install ducting across the carriageway and lay the final road surface.
There will be other closures. Here is a list of the next three:
- 9pm Friday 26 April to 6am Monday 29 April
- 9pm Friday 10 May to 6am Monday 13 May
- 9pm Friday 7 June to 6am Monday 10 June
A diversion route will be in place via the A27, A24 and A283.
National Highways advised all motorists to plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
To help with other related works, there will also be regular overnight lane closures on both sides of the A27 over the next few months.
Work is due to be complete in June 2024.
