Absconded Ford Prisoner Arrested By Police in East Sussex

A man who absconded from prison in Sussex while serving a sentence for a firearms offence has been found by police.

HMP Ford prisoner Jay Davis was arrested on Saturday afternoon (October 24) at a campsite at Telscombe.

Davis, who is serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, was reported missing from the prison near Arundel on Monday, October 12.

Armed police, supported by a National Police Air Service helicopter, arrested him on suspicion of being unlawfully at large at 3.30pm.
