Appeal To Identify Man In Connection With Polegate Bank Card Theft

Police are trying to identify a man seen on CCTV in a shop using someone's lost bank card to buy booze.

A 65-year-old woman reported her card lost on Tuesday, March 29 and was informed by her bank that the card had been used to make purchases for alcohol.

She reported the theft to officers at Eastbourne Police Station, who checked the CCTV at the shop where the bank said purchases had been made.

The suspect is described as a white man, wearing a red “NY” baseball hat, a sky blue and white polo shirt, dark blue jeans, and orange or red shoes.

Anyone who recognises this man is asked to contact Sussex Police online or via 101 and quote serial 664 of 30/03.
