Armed Police Reported In Portslade Arrest

Police who were reportedly armed have helped arrest a man in Portslade on suspicion of criminal damage.

Officers were called to Church Road at 12.45 on Monday afternoon (August 9), by a member of the public reporting the damage.

They held a 27-year-old local man who, this afternoon, was still in custody for questioning.

The incident is being treated as 'isolated', with no risk to the wider community.
