An arrest has been made in connection with a report of a man being assaulted with a claw hammer in Crawley on Sunday (February 21).
Police said the victim was allegedly attacked at an address in Leopold Road, at around 4.24pm.
He sustained minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
Officers responded to the scene and arrested a 55-year-old local man on suspicion of assault.
He remained in police custody on Monday morning (February 22).
Police said it was an isolated incident.
