Detectives investigating an attack in Brighton have charged a local woman with attempted murder.
Officers were called to Ryelands Drive shortly after 12 midnight on Saturday (October 10) to a report of an assault where a man was threatened with a knife.
The victim — a man in his twenties — was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries in the attack.
Sophie George, 18, of Highbrook Close, Brighton, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public.
She appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court today (October 12) and was remanded in custody.
She is expected to appear at Crown Court on November 9.
