A tatty beach hut on Goring seafront has sold for an astonishing £30,000.
The rusty hut was snapped up just a few days after going on the market.
The Worthing beach is a throwback to a time before amusement arcades, boasting a long stretch of pebbles and shingle separated by wooden groynes to mark the high tide.
It is known for having panoramic views of the sea.
The hut, left in a state of disrepair by the previous owners, is likely to receive some TLC and a fresh coat of paint.
An advert on estate agents Michael Jones and Company extolled the virtues of the hut, stating:
“Local shopping facilities in Goring Road are less than one mile away.
"Worthing’s main town centre with its comprehensive range of shopping facilities, bars and restaurants is approximately within three miles distance.”
In this case, the adage of Location, Location, Location is an apt one indeed.
