Bear Prompts Call Out For Rye Police Officers

A bear is on the loose in Rye — though this is the Rye in New Hampshire, that's an official twin-town of our own Rye in East Sussex.

Officers were called to reports of a bear on lower Wallis Road and Clark Road where they say a bird feeder was damaged.

New Hampshire Fish and Game and the Rye ACO are said to be aware of the situation.

The photo pictured is from the officer's game camera in the area, about 50 miles north of the city of Boston.
