Bike Stolen in Crawley Armed Robbery

A 13-year-old cyclist has had the bike he was riding stolen by an armed robber in Crawley.

According to police, the victim was threatened by a man holding a large knife as he rode a black Norco Storm 3 mountain bike on a footpath near the A23 London Road.

In the incident, around 5.30pm on Saturday (June 27), the suspect then took the bike, and rode away in the direction of the County Oak Retail Park.

Officers say the bicycle, while mostly black, had yellow signing and pedals.

Police would like to trace a suspect who is described as mixed race, about 5'7" tall, around 18 years of age, and wearing a black cap, with a dark grey tracksuit and black training shoes.

An appeal has been made for information to be reported online, or to 101, quoting serial 1272 of 27/06.
