Police in Southwick have issued a Section 34 Dispersal Notice following a spike in anti-social behaviour by large groups of youths.
The notice allows Police to disperse people who are being, or who they believe could become, anti-social and covers Southwick Town Centre and Southwick Green.
All the youths involved in the anti-social behaviour were aged 13 to 16 years old.
Two youths aged 14 and 15 were arrested, one for possession of a bladed article, the other for obstruction of a Police Constable.
A police spokesperson said:
"We would ask that parents speak to their children and remind them that to help stop the spread of the Covid 19 virus they shouldn't be meeting in large groups. Their anti social behaviour has also caused annoyance and harassment to local residents."
The order is in place for 24 hours.
