Body Found In Search For Missing Hove Man

A body found on the beach near Seaford on Tuesday (January 19) is thought to be that of a man who's been missing from Hove since Saturday.

Police said a member of the public alerted them of a body near the water's edge at Tide Mills, shortly before 9am.

It's believed to be the body of missing 69-year-old Gareth Jones from Hove.

His family have been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s office has been informed.

Gareth’s dog was also found deceased on the beach in Brighton on Monday (January 18).
