January Transfer Window — Busy Deadline Day Expected For Brighton

Brighton and Hove Albion are expected to complete as many as four transfer deals before the January window shuts at 11pm this evening (Monday).

Dan Burn

Defender Dan Burn has agreed terms with boyhood club Newcastle United and is now in the final stages of tying up the move to Tyneside.

The 6'7 defender, who is adept at either left-back or in the centre of defence, will reportedly join the spendthrift Magpies for a fee of around £12.5m, after initial bids of £8m and £10m were rejected for the in-form 29-year-old.

Julio Enciso

The Seagulls will spend a chunk of the Burn money to wrap up a deal for exciting 18-year-old Paraguayan Julio Enciso from Club Libertad.

As the video shows, Enciso is a fleet-footed, diminutive attacking player with a huge ceiling for his potential.

The teenage winger, who can also play up front, is highly rated and a fee of around £8m appears to have secured the signature of a player described as "the diamond of Paraguayan football."

Deniz Undav

Another attacking talent set to sign for the Albion is 25-year-old German striker Deniz Undav, who has totted up an impressive 18 goals and 9 assists in just 25 games for Belgium's Union Saint-Gilloise.

A clinical finisher with solid technical ability, Undav should prove a useful alternative to current forwards Neal Maupay and Danny Welbeck.

Haydon Roberts

Finally, teenage defender Haydon Roberts is the subject of interest from a slew of Championship clubs after impressing at Rochdale during the first half of the campaign.

The youngster is on the radar of the likes of Blackburn, Swansea and Nottingham Forest, although Burn's move away may mean Roberts remains at the Amex for the second half of the season.
