The Duke of York's Picturehouse - thought to be Britain's oldest cinema - is welcoming back customers for the first time in months.
The future of the venue, in Preston Road, was in doubt after coronavirus restrictions led to the closure of all indoor entertainment premises due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, owners, Cineworld, have worked hard to make sure the 111-year old cinema is ready for reopening.
Now, seven months after it shut, it is able to welcome back members of the public to its screens.
In 2012, it was voted best Cinema in the UK and has operated as an arts cinema since 1981.
