A retrospective application has been submitted to Crawley Borough Council for a gypsy and traveller site which was set up without planning permission.
The application, for land east of Radford Farm, in Radford Road, was registered with the council on August 6 with a decision expected by October 1.
A lot of work has already been carried out at the site, including laying drainage pipes, putting down hard-standing, setting up out-buildings and moving caravans on to the land.
This prompted the council to issue a stop notice in April, ordering a halt to all work, and an enforcement notice demanding that the hard-standing be broken up, the pipes, buildings and caravans be removed and the site be reseeded with grass.
The applicant was given six months to comply with the notice.
If the new application is approved, it will allow the two pitches to remain, each with three caravans, as well as the hard-standing, an access track, outbuildings, sheds and a kennel/dog run.
To view the application, log on to planningregister.crawley.gov.uk and search for CR/2021/0243/FUL.
Anyone wishing to comment on the plans has until August 27 to do so.
