A woman aged 87 has been left with a bruised eye after being hit in the face outside a supermarket in Crawley.
Police said the victim was struck outside the Tesco store in Hazelwick Avenue around 12.05pm on Thursday (September 2).
In addition to the bruising to her eye, officers reported she was left "very shaken".
In appealing for witnesses to come forward, police noted that the shop's car park was busy during the day, and they believed a lot of people would have been nearby at the time the attack took place.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who may have any relevant dash cam footage, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1192 of 02/09.
