A man who murdered his estranged wife in Eastbourne last July (2020) has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 26 years.
Raymond Hoadley, 62, of Willowfield Road, Eastbourne, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court today (Monday 22) after a jury unanimously found him guilty of killing Jacqueline Hoadley last month.
The 58-year-old's body was discovered inside her home in Broad Oak Close on July 5.
Officers established that on the evening of July 4, Raymond climbed over the fence of the property, broke into the house and brutally murdered Jacqueline.
The court was told that Hoadley was motivated in part by financial gain.
