Eastbourne’s popular tourist attraction, Dotto Train, will be extended to run until October.
Bus operator, Stagecoach has announced the seasonal service, which was originally scheduled to run until September 4, will be extended by a further four weeks to October 2.
Dotto returned on May 28 this year after a difficult two years of disruption with the pandemic.
The service, which runs from Holywell Retreat to Sovereign Harbour, has so far attracted more than 13,000 passengers, in what Stagecoach says has been a phenomenal start to the season.
The land-train recently had a renovation to honour the town, this included scenes of Eastbourne’s cliffs, the iconic pier and the aircraft seen at the famous Eastbourne Airbourne.
James Third, Operations Manager at the company’s Eastbourne depot, said:
“We have had a brilliant season with Dotto and we are thrilled to be extending it (into) October.
“Our local team has worked hard to extend the service and it's important to all of us that there is something for the local community to enjoy at the end of the summer holidays.”
