Teams from SECAmb, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard were called to Worthing beach yesterday (Wednesday).
Teams were called at 6.03pm to aid a man trapped in some rocks on the beach.
Two appliances from Worthing Fire Station, along with the Technical Rescue Unit from Horley attended, and teams worked to free the man.
A HM Coastguard spokesperson said:
"Shoreham Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to a report from South Central Ambulance Service of a person with a trapped foot in rocks on East Worthing Sea Front.
"West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service extracted the person from the rocks and transferred the person into ambulance care."
