Famous Classical Pianist To Perform at 450Ft On Brighton's i360

Renowned pianist and composer Aysedeniz from Turkey will be accompanying the sunset on a grand piano on August 20 as she gives a special performance for i360 customers.

And most importantly, prices for a "flight" will stay the same.

From 7.30pm until 8.30pm, Ayse will perform a sunset concerto on a full-size grand piano in the pod, alongside what is hoped will be a spectacular sunset.

“This will be the first-time that a classical artist has played a full-sized grand piano inside the glass viewing pod, so passengers are in for a treat, says Laura Pauley, Communications Manager at British Airways i360.

“We are especially honoured to have LA-based AyseDeniz performing. She was recently named one of the three rising stars in BBC Music Magazine’s ‘to watch out for’ list, as well as making it on the ‘20 under 40 Young Shapers of the Future’ list by The Encyclopædia Britannica - sitting alongside iconic names such as Adele and Haim.

“Ayse is known for surprising her audiences by often mixing rock tunes by bands such as Pink Floyd and Nivana, with classical music. Ayse’s album, Beethoven Senses, is available on all British Airways flights so this a perfect collaboration during what will be a stunning sunset flight.”

Thea Paraskevaides, owner of ARTISTS& added:

"Bringing classical music to new audiences and locations is what we do, so we're particularly excited to be taking AyseDeniz and the Kawai Grand Piano to 450ft. Ayse will perform an incredible program featuring Chopin, Beethoven, her own compositions, and even a classical arrangement of Pink Floyd.”

Ayse made her concerto debut when she was just nine years old. Considered a child prodigy, she is now recognized internationally for her ability to unite the classical genre with rock music - creating original arrangements and performing sold-out solo shows worldwide.
