Fatboy Slim Draws Huge Crowds To Brighton Beach Festival

It's 20 years since a quarter-of-a-million people came to watch Fatboy Slim play Brighton beach, but the DJ and music producer's still got it, with huge crowds turning up for On The Beach Festival last night (July 21).

The ticketed event was held alongside Madeira Terraces, to the east of the Palace Pier, with people lining the pavement above, removing screens that had been put up so that non-ticket-holders wouldn't be able to catch a glimpse of the DJ for free.

But Fatboy, aka, Norman Cook, was stopping traffic in Brighton last night, when he came on stage, reportedly wearing the new Albion kit, and played for just under two hours.

Supported by the likes of Dorothy's Fortress and Eats Everything, the 58-year-old Brighton resident, who turns 59 on July 31, will be recovering from all the excitement of last night in preparation for a second performance tonight.

He'll be followed by Carl Cox on stage tomorrow night (Saturday 23rd) at his sold out gig.
