Fire crews have been tackling a large fire at a former care home in Haywards Heath that started on Saturday evening (Nov 5).
Ten engines arrived at the building in Bolnore Farm Lane shortly after 7pm with 50 firefighters at the scene during one stage of the operation.
They remained there over the weekend and have been damping down hotspots this morning (Monday 7).
Emergency services were unable to enter the building as it was deemed unsafe due to falling debris.
People are advised to avoid the area - the B2272 was closed on Saturday night in both directions.
It’s not believed anybody was inside the building when it caught alight.
An investigation has now begum to establish the cause of the fire.
