Fire Overnight At Rowfant Industrial Unit, East Of Crawley

Firefighters say they've tamed flames that broke out last night at an industrial unit east of Crawley.

According to police, a fire was reported in Wallage Lane at Rowfant, with one witness speaking about a series of explosions around, or soon after, midnight last night (18–19 April).

A concerned resident told police she had heard "ten or so large explosions, and multiple small ones".

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed overnight that crews from Crawley, East Grinstead and Turners Hill were attending the fire.

As daylight breaks, we expect to be able to bring you more details of this operation.
