Firefighters from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have been in attendance at a blaze in Peacehaven this morning (Sunday).
Crews from Roedean and Newhaven attended the property in Downland Avenue after being called at around 8.30am this morning.
The property is said to have suffered severe damage from the blaze, and the Ambulance service was also in attendance.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesperson said:
“We were called to a property Downland Avenue in Peacehaven at 8.30am.
“Three appliances were sent, two from Newhaven, one from Roedean. It was a severe fire in the property.
“Crews had to use breathing apparatus, a jet and hose reels to extinguish the fire.
“There were a couple of casualties treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
“An investigation into the cause of the fire will be underway shortly.”
