Firefighters have been called to three acres alight on Midhurst Common.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the area just after 4pm yesterday (Friday).
Crews from Chichester, Surrey and Haslemere attended the incident.
The blaze was brought under control shortly after they arrived.
Crews will remain on scene to damp down after bringing the fire under control.

People living locally are advised to keep doors and windows closed as there is still some smoke in the area.
Crews have been dealing with a fire affecting three acres of Midhurst Common, near Carron Lane, following a call shortly after 4pm.

The fire is now under control after three appliances from @43Midhurst, @ChichesterFire and our @SurreyFRS colleagues from @HaslemereFire attended.
