The first acts for next year's Love Supreme Festival have been announced.
The event will take place from Friday June 30 to Sunday July 2 at Glynde Place in Lewes.
Pioneering bassist and vocalist Thundercat comes to Love Supreme for the first time, while US gospel-soul trio Gabriels, and Miles Davis collaborator Marcus Miller returns ten years after last appearing at the festival.
Another returning artist is Candi Staton — on the Love Supreme bill for the first time since 2015 as part of her farewell tour.
Multi-million-selling, Grammy-winning American soul group Shalamar whose timeless hit songs include ‘I Can Make You Feel Good’, ‘A Night To Remember’ and ‘There It Is.’
Other notable names confirmed for the event include:
- Father of Ethio-Jazz Mulatu Astatke.
- Internationally acclaimed and award-winning Blue Note alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins.
- Breakout R&B star Pip Millett.
- Obongjayar — who released his debut album to critical acclaim earlier this year.
- A selection of this year’s breakthrough artists including Mica Miller, August Charles and Cherise.
Early Bird tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning (Friday) for a limited time before they move to the next pricing tier.
Further announcements, including the main stage headliners, will be made early in the new year.
