Helmet wearing burglar breaks into Shoreham B&Q and steals drills

A burglar 'in black' was spotted on CCTV breaking into the B&Q in Shoreham and stealing drills last Friday (March, 27). Police said the store in Brighton Road was broken into shortly before 11pm and four De Walt drills valued at £460 were taken from the display area. Officers said the suspect was slim, around 5'10", wearing a black motorbike helmet with visor down, black parka style coat, black jeans and black trainers with white soles, carrying a black holdall and a white bag. A moped rider of the same description was seen nearby soon afterwards, but did not stop for police and has not yet been traced. PC Ben Harman said: "This is a particularly unpleasant offence, at a time when B&Q are supporting the NHS with supplies of personal protective equipment." Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting serial 1300 of 27/03.
