
Teams of investigators have begun to research the cause of a house fire in East Sussex.
The residence in Hailsham's Station Road was reported alight at 1.36am on Saturday (July 30).
According to East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, firefighters made a timely arrival, then used jets, a hose reel and breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
No injuries were reported, but police said the property was extensively damaged.
As part of the investigation, officers have launched a witness appeal.
Anyone with information or who might have seen the area at the time is asked to contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting serial 166 of 30/07.
