Officers investigating a series of distraction burglaries are seeking to return these stolen items with their rightful owners.
Between March 19 and April 24, at least 12 incidents were reported to police that involved elderly residents being targeted and items such as cash and jewellery stolen.
Some of the stolen items have since been recovered and police are asking recent burglary victims to come forward if they recognise any of the items pictured.
Following an investigation, a man has been arrested and charged with two recent offences in the town on May 16 and 17.
James Beaney, 45, of Gravits Lane, Bognor Regis, is charged with burglary and trespassing with intent to steal.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 20 May, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 17 June.
Detective Inspector Alan Pack said:
“I would like to remind people to always check the identity of any callers, especially if they are unexpected. No professional will mind waiting outside whilst you make a call to confirm their identity and police officers will always show their warrant card.”
