A fire in a flat in Brighton yesterday (May 27) started 'accidentally', according to East Sussex Fire and Rescue.
Fire crews were called to the property in St Georges Road, Kemptown at 9.48am and used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to fight the fire.
An aerial ladder platform was used to rescue a person in the flat above, and three people were led to safety.
A fire investigation found the fire was started by accident in a kitchen and has left the flat extensively damaged.
One person is being re-housed by the local authority.
