Police on Friday (August 28) asked: "Did you lose your bag in Lewes Library today?"
In a cheery social media note, officers said:
"No bother — we've recovered it for you."
But they continued:
"We'd like to talk to you about the contents."
Accompanying the officers' hope to meet the bag's owner was an image of £230 in cash and several bags that appeared to contain illegal leaf-based substances.
