Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident in Brighton where a man was stabbed in the street, before being run over by a car. Officers said the 31-year-old local man was in Norwich Drive, Bevendean at 3.30am on Saturday (21 September), when he was stabbed several times to the body, before being run over by a vehicle which then drove away. He received treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, but was discharged from hospital later on the same day, according to police. A 22-year-old man arrested in Brighton, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, was later released on police bail while enquiries continue. DS Sebastian Day said: "We are still keen to speak to anybody who witnessed or heard the incident or who has any information relating to it."
