A man has been charged with drugs and driving offences after plain-clothes police officers in Eastbourne witnessed a suspected drugs deal.
Officers noticed suspicious activity in a car on Bourne Street around midday on Tuesday, November 3rd.
They saw the car again on Grange Road around 1.15pm, again witnessing suspicious activity.
Uniformed officers were called to stop and search the vehicle, which happened in St Anne's Road..
The search uncovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £3,000, cannabis with an estimated street value of £6,000 and around £2,000 in cash.
Shkelqim Belshaku was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property.
He appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (November 4) and was remanded in custody to next appear in court on December 2.
