A man has been charged after reports of a man making threats to kill on Brighton Palace Pier yesterday (Wednesday).
Police said Lance Brade was charged with public order offences after he was arrested using a taser, just after 1.17pm.
It followed prompt calls from members of the public in relation to a man making threats to the public.
The 32-year-old scaffolder, of Albourne Close, Brighton, was charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence; and obstructing or resisting police in the execution of their duty.
According to officers, he was released on conditional bail to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on October 8.
