A man has been charged with arranging the movements of a girl aged 16 for criminal exploitation in Brighton.
Guiseppe Carella, 25, of Upper Rock Gardens, Brighton, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on 20 December.
Hi charge was in contrary to Section Two of the Modern Slavery Act.
He will be held in custody until his court appearance at Lewes Crown Court on January 17th, 2022.
Carella was arrested on February 25 when officers, who had been carrying out observations in the area, entered Carella's room and found the 16-year-old girl, together with a quantity of crack cocaine and heroin, cash, and drug dealing items including scales.
