A man has been charged with sexual offences against three women across Brighton, including two rapes. Police said Sarjo Jatta, 43, of Eldred Avenue in the city, appeared at Lewes Crown Court yesterday (Friday, 6). Mr Jatta is charged with four counts of sexual assault on a 19-year-old woman, raping an 18-year-old woman and the rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment of a 22-year-old woman. Police said all of the offences are alleged to have taken place in the last ten years. Mr Jatta did not enter a plea at the court hearing and he was remanded in custody for a plea and case management hearing on April 2. Officers said the prosecution, authorised by the CPS, follows an investigation by detectives from the Brighton Safeguarding Investigations Unit.
