A man has grabbed a teenage girl in the street in Newhaven and attempted to assault her.
It happened at around 6.45pm on Friday, September 24th.
The 16-year-old girl was walking home along the The Drove, on the A259 in Newhaven, when she was approached by a man near Sainsburys.
He started speaking to her then grabbed her and tried to kiss her, but she managed to pull away and get herself home safely.
The man is described as white, about 5'10", slim, with brown hair in a ponytail. He had a tattoo of a name on his neck, and was wearing a blue tracksuit and grey trainers.

"We have been making enquiries across the local area and have currently had no reports of other people being approached in this way.
"If you saw what happened or if you think you can identify the man described, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 197 of 26/09."
