Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was seriously assaulted in Worthing on Saturday (20).
Police said they were called to a report of an incident involving a 46-year-old man in Ambrose Place, at around 9pm.
He suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers believe the incident happened following an altercation with a group of young people.
A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
