A man was rescued from the sea off Worthing last night (July 19) in an operation that involved dozens of emergency workers.
The RNLI announced they were launching one of their rescue boats at 9.55pm.
Shoreham and Littlehampton Coastguard, Sussex Police, the ambulance service, two Shoreham RNLI lifeboats and a Coastguard helicopter all aided the operation, which ended with a man being pulled from the sea alive.
